The Alexander Technique is a simple,
effective method of self-care that people use to achieve a natural,
tension-free posture and ease in movement. It helps relieve pain and stress,
prevent injuries and accidents, and restore a sense of balance and serenity. What is the Alexander Technique?
The
Alexander Technique is taught by trained teachers who combine observation,
dialogue and touch to help students recognise harmful habits, and to change
them for good. The physical and mental aspects of the technique are
integrated through the teaching of basic principles, applied to everyday
activities.
Over
time, you will notice radical changes. Generally, practice of the Alexander
Technique balances muscle tone, extends range of motion, and improves
breathing, circulation and digestion. No matter what your age,
learning the technique will increase your chances of enjoying life-long
wellness and vitality. |
